A Little Help

I called an author I had been introduced to about six months ago to see if she was ready to get started on her book marketing.

“Your ears must have been burning yesterday!” is how she answered the phone!

I laughed and asked her what she meant.

I was flabbergasted when she told me what she had been involved with over the weekend.

One of the members of her church has a relative who is a fund manager from China. The group of investors has extracted 30 billion dollars US equivalency into Switzerland and want to fund philanthropic projects which will create massive numbers of jobs.

She asked if I could create a mini proposal to include the plan for the school, requiring a minimum of $100 million and at least 3,000 jobs and have the means to replenish 10% of the funds within a 3 to 5 year period!

That’s fairly easy! Rather than starting with 300 boys, I could include 3,000 boys and 3,000 girls in the plan.

She introduced me to her contact who is a broker who works directly with the core group who is now in New York interviewing other project concepts.

So, we’re off and running. So far, we’ve had about 3 conversations and will get a chance to meet in person soon!

About Sharyn

As founder of UBU I found my inspiration from my brother Tony who was a foster child, then adopted by my parents when he was five. After listening to his stories about the treatment he received while in the homes I began to think of what it was like for him as well as the thousands of other kids. I decided to start the school after Tony passed on in 2008. It is my tribute to him and all that he did for me. Of all the things I've done in my life, this is the one thing that truly makes me feel like I'm finally on the right path.
