Welcome to the Board

J Douglas Hollie

It is my pleasure to welcome Douglas Hollie to our Board of Directors. I met Doug in 2006 when he came to my business meeting to learn to do speaking in the community to support his non profit organization, SMART Kids.

Doug and I have remained friends because of his interest in helping children and adults turn their lives around. He has been extremely influential in Detroit, Texas and the San Francisco Bay Area  where he tirelessly devotes his time to make our world a better place.

Doug will join our board of Directors as our Vice President of Student Recruitment. He will work with our Director of Student Recruiters and the Student Recruiters nationally to develop programs to insure our youth are properly screened and treated to the proper training programs.

About Sharyn

As founder of UBU I found my inspiration from my brother Tony who was a foster child, then adopted by my parents when he was five. After listening to his stories about the treatment he received while in the homes I began to think of what it was like for him as well as the thousands of other kids. I decided to start the school after Tony passed on in 2008. It is my tribute to him and all that he did for me. Of all the things I've done in my life, this is the one thing that truly makes me feel like I'm finally on the right path.
