I received an email from Edwin and Rosiland Tench who I met by chance, standing in front of the Dallas Chamber table at a real estate event I attended two years ago. Edwin is the Ambassador to Belize and is based in Dallas.
He has been so kind in following up with me on the progress of the school and making introductions to those he believes will help make the process of building the school much easier.
The past year has been a whirlwind of activity which included NextGen in New York, meeting Tina and Michelle in Los Angeles who will be organizing our Dive Trips, meeting Susan Morrice, Trevor and Cathy Miles, Tina’s sister Cathy who will be launching our golf tournaments in Florida, Cathy Scharetg in San Francisco, Ken Packer in San Jose and Bill Newman in New Jersey just to name of few of those who have come into the circle of helping hands in 2011.
Ruby Frandsen has become my most valuable player (MVP). She has taken over the publicity, back office details and has helped me tremendously in making sure all the T’s are crossed.
Their generosity is overwhelming. The knowledge of seeing how people step up to the plate when their is a worthy cause has me in awe.
It has been a year of self discovery and I know we are on the right track, 2012 will bring amazing results.
Thank you for being there for me and the children who are living on the streets.
